I started off with deadmau5 and let me tell you, he was brilliant! The graphics were superb and he really put on a show. I managed to watch all of Rita Ora’s stage as well! She was gorgeous and she sang live all throughout- I absolutely adore her. Following that, I rushed off with a friend at the DJ Stage to watch Chris Moyles battling with Tim Westwood. My personal preference was obviously Westwood- his choice of songs was more my type.

Ed Sheeran was also /fabulous/. He put on a show and let me tell you, I really enjoyed it. I don’t listen to him frequently but his performance on the Main Stage yesterday was very good and the guy has tons of talent! Right after him (well, a few minutes after), Nicki Minaj took on the stage, opening with “Roman Holiday” and it followed on with more hits. She was gorgeous but people I’ve talked to said she didn’t perform live…? >_<

From there, I took a little break because my legs were killing me but then I managed to catch most of Nero’s performance. Now, let me tell you, Nero was absolutely brilliant! The bass was dropped so perfectly and the crowd was very hyped and everyone clearly enjoyed themselves. I managed to catch a bit of Swedish House Mafia and Lost Prophets as well, however, I had to rush off to catch a reasonably close spot to the stage for when Jay-Z performed.

Now, Jay-Z came on with a bang. His stage was the best (and that’s not me being biased). Obviously, everyone knew he’d bring out Kanye West but I never expected him to bring out Rihanna as well as they opened with “Run This Town”! She looked very good but I didn’t get a clear shot of her. M.I.A also took on the stage when Hova began performing “Swagga Like Us”. Her mic didn’t work :( but as she moved to “Bad Girls”, she got it changed and it worked perfectly fine. M.I.A also took her jacket off and left it on the stage once she left; Jay picked it up and he’s like: “Hm, I like this jacket. Think I’mma keep it.” XD I’m so glad he performed “On To the Next One” because that is one of my favorite tracks as well.

Kanye West entered about a minute after the American flag was released for “Otis”. The crowd went WILD, lemme tell you. It was absolutely mental and both of them just owned the whole day! During “N****s In Paris”, Jay asked for a few circles in the crowds (queue the pushing OTL) and it was only today that I found out Beyonce was there also! I didn’t see her at all but I’m so glad to know I was breathing the same air! XD From what I remember, the two performed “Otis”, “No Church In the Wild”, “Gotta Have It” and reloaded “N****s In Paris”! The reloading of the song was amazing and there were so many flashing lights and the bass was mad and jsgfghdsagbhsdgbsdajbgdsa.

And this was my day summarized. It was very enjoyable, very live, the crowds were hyped, plenty of drunk people, some were taken out and Jay-Z completely owned the night along with his guests! Hackney Weekend was a great experience of which I am proud of having! Unforgettable.
